House rules and conditions
- All boats are rented exclusively on the waters of Haarlem.
- You can pay the agreed amount in cash (and the exact amount) in advance. Including the €50 deposit.
- The renter/driver of a boat must be at least 21 years old.
- The tenant has identification with him.
- Sailing is at your own risk.
- (Pets) animals are allowed.
- The renter is liable for damage to and/or loss of the boat and parts thereof; The tenant is also liable for damage to third parties.
- Exceeding the rental period will be borne by the tenant.
- You can cancel your reservation if it starts to rain. We request that you do this 1.5 to 2 days in advance.
The tenant is expected to:
- taking local residents and other water sports enthusiasts into account.
- to respect the signs forbidding access.
- Avoid the sides of the waterway due to shallow areas that can cause damage to the boat, engine or propeller.
- only enter the banks at certain places, this is indicated on the route map.
- to know that the Inland Waterways Police Regulations are in force.
- to know that the skipper is always responsible, even if he lets go.
- knowing that there is a maximum speed of 6 km per hour.
- obligation to always sail starboard.
- to know that the Shipping Act makes it a punishable offense if you sail or operate as a skipper under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
- to deliver his garbage at locks and marinas.
- to know that you are given priority and not taken!
- to give priority to commercial shipping.
- to know that good seamanship always applies.
- Do not use the horn or horn in the city center after 8:00 PM.
